A follow up EP to the peerless Ill Communication (which it shares some tracks with) this one also features a superb spooky downbeat rework of the title track and live recordings which are about as incendiary as you’d expect from the boys in their 90’s prime.

The Comet is coming – Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery

This London electronica space Jazz power trio are a new discovery for me and I’m blown away by this one. Pretty much a perfect blend of sax driven grooves and warped electronics. Orange vinyl too. Nice.

Brain Eno & David Byrne – My Life In the Bush of Ghosts.

This album feels like the point of inception for most of the music I love these days….like a Big Bang for experimental electronica. Tracks like the dark and throbbing ‘Mea Culpa’ and the exorcism groove of ‘The Jezebel Spirit’ are a reminder of just how vital it still sounds today.
